Community Living - Central York is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to adults with an intellectual disability in the Newmarket and Aurora areas. In operation for 60 years, the organization is under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of people who receive support, family members and other members of the community. The organization's mission is to enable and support adults who have an intellectual disability to achieve their fullest potential in partnership with an informed community.

The new facility is a hub for Community Living's administration, employment programs and social service programming. A variety of on-site amenities, both indoor and outdoor have been incorporated with the overall goal of facilitating community. The design is suitable for a diversity of ages and abilities and fully accessible in all regards.

The design also includes a full commercial kitchen for social enterprise/education purposes; employment and social enterprise spaces, a multi-purpose space for uses such as drama, art, and physical activities, classrooms, and general office space and amenities.
